Sue Meek Obituary, Death Cause – In Texhoma, Oklahoma, on the 29th of November in 1944, Sue Ann Bullard Meek was brought into the world by her parents, Vernon and Minnie Bergner Bullard. On the evening of May 5, 2023, she passed away in a tranquil manner surrounded by the family and friends she cherished the most. In 1949, Sue made a happy introduction to the world for her younger sister, Jan Lea Bullard Flanagan.

She received her diploma from Texhoma High School and then went on to study at Oklahoma Panhandle State University, where she met the man who would become her husband. She graduated from that institution in 1967. John David Meek and Sue were wed on May 27th, 1967, and eight years later, on June 8th, 1970, their son John was born.
Sue has devoted her entire life to teaching, and she has worked as a teacher at a variety of primary schools in Yukon, Griggs, and Hugoton, Kansas. Sue had an impact on the lives of innumerable pupils throughout the course of her forty-year teaching career. Sue thoroughly enjoyed her time spent in Delta Kappa Gamma, an organization in which she was able to fellowship with other women educators.
David Meek, Sue’s husband of 56 years and resident of Duncan, Oklahoma, is the only person who will remember her. The couple’s hometown is listed as Duncan, Oklahoma. Grandchildren Logan Meek and Riley Meek from Oklahoma City, OK, Robert Elkins and Catherine Elkins from Fort Smith, AR, and Arlington, VA respectively. Texhoma, Oklahoma’s very own Sister Jan Flanagan.

Nephews Sean Flanagan, his wife Chandra, and their daughters Allison and Aidan live in Huntsville, Alabama. Brian Flanagan and his wife Robin live in Texhoma, Oklahoma, with their children Carrie and Owen. In addition to a large number of cousins and friends. Sue enjoyed keeping up with her grandchildren’s activities and achievements just as much as she enjoyed cheering on the football and softball teams of her alma mater, the Oklahoma Sooners.
