Maureen D. Ruth Obituary, Death Cause – Maureen D. Ruth, 62, a lifelong resident of Haverhill, passed away in a calm manner at the Holy Family Hospital in Methuen after experiencing a period of deteriorating health. She had been admitted to the hospital earlier in the day. She was the daughter of her parents, John M. “Jack” Jr. and Clodette J. (Buchika) Ruth, and she was born in Haverhill.
She is a graduate of Haverhill High School, class of 1979, where she received her education. She attended Haverhill Public Schools. Maureen worked as a cashier at a number of different retail establishments in the area. After some time, she found work at the senior citizens centre in Haverhill, Massachusetts, as a bus driver for the City of Haverhill. She had a lot of fun during that phase of her profession since she got to interact with the people she drove around all the time.
Food was one of Maureen’s favourite things, and she frequently dined out. She was a lover of the Boston Red Sox, enjoyed doing word search puzzles, and frequently travelled to Florida to see her parents and other family members. She was a loyal mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend in addition to being a mother and grandma. She is survived by her loving parents John M. Ruth Jr.
and his wife Clodette (Buchika) Ruth, of Florida, her cherished grandson, August Christopher Abbott, siblings; Cathleen Ahern, of Marco Island, Florida, John M. Ruth III, of Dracut, and Cheryl Accardi and her partner, Joseph Zember, of Sandown, New Hampshire, and nieces; Kelli Accardi, Christina Accardi, and Elyse Ruth. Her son Christopher Abbott had passed away prior to her passing.
The family of Maureen would like to express their gratitude to the staff at Aspen Hill Rehab for the considerate and sensitive care that she received while she was there. At the Kevin B.
