Matty Roberts Obituary, Hartwell Forest FC Member Has Died

Matty Roberts Obituary, Death – The news that one of Hartwell Forest FC’s founding members has passed away was received with an immense amount of regret and sadness. Yesterday, Matty Roberts lost his battle with cancer at the young age of 33. Everyone at the club is completely and utterly heartbroken. It breaks my heart that the club will no longer have Matty because he was an integral part of its spirit.

On December 3, 2021, Matt went away abruptly and suddenly in the comfort of his own home. He is survived by his wife Sara and their small baby Charlie, as well as his mother Moira (Michael), father William (Margaret), sisters Kerrie and Denni, brothers Bill, Mike, and Steven, brother in law Scot, and a large number of relatives, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and friends.

His mother was previously married to Michael. His father was previously married to Margaret. Matt was a talented artist, carpenter, performer, and singer who traveled the world. However, perhaps his most notable quality was the way in which he was able to put those around him at ease. Whether he was scuba diving in the Indian Ocean, working as a ski patrol at Whistler, or singing karaoke, Matt did it all with his own unique style, always making friends along the way.

Matt’s confidence was inspiring. His death has left a hole in the world that will never be filled. His broad circle of friends and relatives will mourn him terribly, and his absence during get-togethers of that kind will be felt keenly by everyone. A memorial service honoring the deceased will take place at a later time.
