Colleen Slota Car Accident – In relation to an investigation into a stolen vehicle that was involved in the passing away of a 62-year-old woman in London, Ontario earlier this week, three people have been charged with a range of felonies in connection with the investigation. According to the police report that was made public on Friday, Colleen Slota was driving her Ford F-150 pickup truck on Wednesday when an allegedly stolen GMC Sierra vehicle collided with it at the intersection of Thompson and Adelaide.
The report stated that the collision occurred at the intersection of Thompson and Adelaide. Two men and one women fled the scene on foot, but according to a statement that was issued by the police on Friday, all of the suspects have been taken into custody at this point. The male driver, who is 38 years old, is being held accountable for both failing to stop at the scene of an accident and criminal negligence causing death as a result of the allegations that have been brought against him.
It is alleged that all three of the suspects were in possession of property with a worth greater than $5,000 that had been obtained through illegal conduct. The Special Investigations Unit (SIU) is currently looking into the case because London police officers were there when the Sierra was initially observed. This is the reason why the SIU is investigating the matter. The Princess Elizabeth Public School had to be shut down so that authorities could continue their investigation into the tragic event.
The driver was not permitted to be released from detention, and an appearance in court has been set for the following week at the earliest possible convenience. The remaining two suspects are due to make another court appearance at the end of the month of May.
