Carl Williams Obituary, Death – Carl Williams, who had lived in Lake Charles all of his life and had reached the age of 88 when he passed away on March 19, 2022, in the comfort of his own home. He was born in Hodge, Louisiana, on March 3, 1934, to parents who were named Ruben Daniel Williams and Ophelia Ferguson Williams. His grandparents were also named Ruben Daniel Williams. Carl, who went to LaGrange High School and went on to win the Brink Trophy as well as four state wins, is recognized as a boxing star in Lake Charles. Carl won the Brink Trophy and four state titles.
