Anna Louise (VanHoose) Muncy, the devoted wife to whom he has been married for the past 61 years, is the one who will continue their life together after he passes away. His descendants carry on the family legacy, including Micheal VanHoose, Esther Pauline (Ward) Ackley, Rose Victoria Fletcher, and Sandra Kay Dietrich, among others. In addition, he is survived by his grandkids, Holly VanHoose and Joe VanHoose, both of whom are married to Stephanie, Carrie Ane Hartley and Amanda Schlegel, both of whom are married to Andy Schlegel, and Carrie Ane Hartley, who is married to Dan Hartley.
Step John was a valiant soldier who served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was a member of the 101st Airborne Division. He has brought honor to his nation. One of the churches that he attended on a consistent basis was the Hickory Grove United Baptist Church. John was an extroverted and social guy who appreciated the opportunities he had to be in settings with a large number of other individuals. He was very handy around the house and had a real knack for growing plants.
