Adam Curfiss Car Accident Kingwood, Houston, 18-Year-Old Teen Dies in High-Speed Car Crash

Adam Curfiss Car Accident – A fatal crash on Thursday afternoon closed all but one lane of Interstate 440 East near North Hills. The crash occurred around noon close to Exit 7 for Glenwood Avenue in the stretch of I-440 between North Hills and Crabtree Valley Mall. Adam Alkanshaly, 18, was taken to an area hospital after the crash, where he died due to injuries sustained in the crash. Yaseen Sulayman Alkhanshali, 22, was driving the 2020 Toyota Camry that Alkanshaly was in, and is charged with misdemeanor death by vehicle and speeding. Alkhanshali had serious injuries and is in the hospital.

According to Raleigh police, the Camry driven by Alkhanshali was traveling at a high speed and made several lane changes. Alkhanshali failed to reduce his speed and collided with the rear of the Mack Granite cement truck, causing the Camry to roll over on its right side and roll multiple times. The driver of the Mack Granite truck was not injured. Police said Alkanshaly and Alkhanshali did not appear to be wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash.

The crash occurred along a raised segment of I-440, and police officers were under the bridge, putting up yellow crime scene tape on Yadkin Drive, which is under I-440. The lanes were blocked for several hours, but reopened around 3 p.m. Thursday.
