Geraldine Wall Obituary, Death – We are so saddened to inform you of the demise of Geraldine Wall; we will miss her charming smile and the way she would always tell us, “I love you.”She never had a single negative thing to say about anyone or anything. I ask that you continue to pray for her and her family. At the early age of 98 years old, Miss Geraldine passed away. She was our oldest Resident residing here, and she still put on a full face of makeup every day.
We shall miss you, but we will see you again. Geraldine M. Wall, who was 74 years old and originally from Shavertown, passed away at Riverstreet Manor in Wilkes-Barre on August 30, 2021. She was the daughter of Michael Mesaros, who passed away, and Catherine Buzitsky Mesaros, who also passed away. She was born in Kingston. Geraldine attended Swoyersville High School and went on to become a member of St. Therese’s in Shavertown, where she was actively involved in the community. Throughout the years, Geraldine has volunteered her time at St. Therese’s in a variety of different ministries, including the prayer shawl ministry, the grief ministry, the eucharistic ministry, and religious instruction.
Geraldine was devoted to her family and treasured her relationship with her husband, as well as her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Crocheting, reading, working out the puzzles in her puzzle books, watching her favorite TV shows, and cheering for the Chicago Cubs, the Pittsburgh Penguins, and the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins were some of her favorite things to do in her spare time. In addition, Geraldine enjoyed spending time in the kitchen and baking, particularly during the holiday seasons; her pierogi and chocolate chip cookies were legendary. Geraldine’s infant brother Michael also passed away before her, and she was preceded in death by both of her parents.
