Amy Snyder Obituary, Death – She was born June 11, 1978, in Troy to Charles “Chuck” and Sherry Tyson who reside in Piqua. She married Nicholas L. Snyder June 10, 2000, in Piqua; and he survives. Other survivors include her two beautiful children who were the light of her life, Jenna Snyder and Owen Snyder, both at home; her father and mother-in-law, Rick & Bev Snyder of Piqua; her brother-in-law, Andrew (Kendra) Snyder of Piqua; a sister-in-law, Ashley (Raymond) Anthony of Piqua; and her nieces and nephews, Lincoln, Ryan, and Olivia.

Amy was a 1996 graduate of Piqua High School and a 2000 graduate of Kentucky Christian University where she earned her Bachelor’s degree. She was currently employed as the COO of Winan’s Chocolates and Coffee, a career which she truly enjoyed for the last 25 years. She was a member of The Valley Church and was active in many of their programs. In her younger years, she was active with Young Life which coincidentally was where she met her husband. She was a board member for Mainstreet Piqua. She loved her family more than anything and enjoyed spending time with them.

She was her kid’s biggest cheerleader and loved attending their many sporting events. She looked forward to camping trips at Grandpa’s Farm in Richmond and visiting National Parks. She was an avid football fan and enjoyed attending games to support Piqua High School, the Cincinnati Bengals and most importantly, her beloved Ohio State Buckeyes. She was a devoted mother, wife, daughter and friend. She will be deeply missed by many. A service to honor her life will begin a 9:30 a.m. Thursday, April 20, 2023, at the Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home with Pastor Larry Butt officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are encouraged to be made to Jenna and Owen’s 529 plans for their higher education.
