Robert Fields Obituary, Death – We lost an amazing, kind, and compassionate co-worker and friend today, and I cannot express enough how much he meant to this team,” said Lindsay Ellison, who serves as the Operations Director for Priority Ambulance in Cocke County. “I cannot express enough how much he meant to this team,” she continued. He was a wonderful preceptor and instructor for paramedics, and he always made time to assist those in need. He instructed me in everything that I currently know, and if it weren’t for Robert, I would not be the paramedic that I am today.
We share our condolences and profound sorrow as we inform you of the demise of Robert Fields, who served as a critical care paramedic in Cocke County. The injuries that Robert got in an accident that occurred while he was off-duty on Easter Sunday led to complications that ultimately led to his death early yesterday morning. Robert devoted his professional life to emergency medical services, and the whole Priority Ambulance family will miss him dearly.
After working as a paramedic for Tennova Hospital in Lafollette for a number of years prior to joining Priority in October 2022, he did so. Additionally, Robert worked for the Campbell County Ambulance Service both as a paramedic and as a shift captain. Robert started his career as a paramedic 32 years ago, and he loved nothing more than to serve both the patients he treated and the community he lived in.
The thoughts expressed by Lindsay were mirrored by Rob Webb, who serves as Vice President of Operations for Eastern Tennessee. “Robert Fields was an incredible man who cherished his family, his work, and his relationship with God. He was always upbeat and encouraging everytime we had a conversation, and he was a joy to collaborate with.
Robert is survived by his mother, daughter, age 16, son, age 20, sister, and brother. His daughter is 16 years old and his son is 20 years old. The family and friends of Robert have been offered assistance from Priority Ambulance in order to support them during this difficult time. The staff will be informed as soon as details are available regarding the funeral arrangements that are currently being made.
