Mark Ruffin Obituary, Death – The most difficult thing we have to do is part from the people we care about by bidding them farewell. The day I had to tell my father I loved him for the last time because he had passed away was the most difficult day of my life. I still hurts. It is not farewell because you will meet again when you travel through the golden gates, where he will be waiting for you. Mark Elbert Ruffin, who was 55 years old at the time of his passing, left his earthly life on September 16, 2022. On September 13, 1967, in Edgecombe County, North Carolina, he was born to Nick Long, who had passed away, and Tarnettie Ruffin. He is survived by his longtime companion, Margaret Johnson, one son, Taiwan Pettaway of Tarboro, North Carolina, two daughters, Nicky Ruffin of Greenville, North Carolina, and Verna Mae Jones of Princeville
North Carolina, one brother, Dennis Ray Ruffin of Wilson, North Carolina, two sisters, Brenda Ruffin-Sherrod of the home and Shelia Ruffin Black of Rocky Mount, North Carolina, eleven grandchildren, and a host of other loving relatives and friends. He will be deeply missed. Hemby-Willoughby Mortuary will host a viewing for the general public on Sunday, October 2, 2022, from 1:00 to 2:00 PM. On Sunday, October 2, 2022, at 2:00 PM, the Funeral Service will be performed at the Hemby-Willoughby Mortuary Chapel, with Bishop Jaqurrence Knight serving as the officiant. After the service, the body will be laid to rest in the Eastlawn Memorial Garden.
