Joshua MacDonald Obituary, Death – Joshua MacDonald is a Fire Investigator for the 34th Berthoud Fire Protection District. Colorado, Berthoud
On March 25, 2016, Fire Investigator MacDonald responded to a domestic fire where he provided emergency medical services to a resident of the home who had been injured in the fire. After some time had passed, he went back to inspect the scene of the fire. Unfortunately, while he was there, he fell through the floor and got his leg stuck in the electrical wiring.

Since then, he had been through a series of operations, one of which involved the removal of one of his legs. On April 17, 2020, Fire Investigator Joshua MacDonald lost suddenly as a result of complications arising from the procedures. In the corridors of Darlington Presbyterian Church, where he was a familiar face, he never failed to flash a warm smile and a cordial “Hey” to everybody he encountered. He was the Honorary Head Usher of the church, and he looked forward to serving alongside his “League of Extraordinary Gentleman” each and every week.

Joshua also participated in the activities of the College and Career club at Darlington Presbyterian Church, where he was a member and sang on the praise team. He maintained a positive attitude in spite of the various challenges he faced and served as a model for many people, both at the McLeod Health and Fitness Center and elsewhere. In addition to his siblings, Andrew (Sarah) Robertson Macdonald of San Francisco and Edward Daniel Macdonald of Colorado Springs, Colorado, he is survived by his parents, Dr. and Mrs. Allan Macdonald of Darlington. His parents are Dr. and Mrs. Allan Macdonald. Additionally, he is survived by a large number of aunts, uncles, cousins, and other members of his extended family.
