Deputy sheriffs were dispatched to the Butcher Jones Recreation Area of the lake on the evening of May 29, shortly after 5 o’clock, in response to a report of a person who may have drowned in the lake.

According to the statements of the alleged witnesses, they saw a man enter the water, but they did not see him emerge from the water again.
