She was accompanied by her children and died away while holding the hands of her husband. She was born in St. Louis, Missouri, and her parents, Katherine Bange White and her fathers, whom she loved equally.

Albert Bange and Harry White, as well as her loving brothers Albert “Skippy” Bange, John Bange, and Vincent Bange, all predeceased her. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Carol is survived by her sister Patricia (Arthur) Cappella, who was also her best friend; her brother Paul (Judy) Bange; her four children Mary Warren Kayse, Teresa (Odell) Edwards, Lisa (David) Henry, and Katherine (Todd) Gardner; her seven grandchildren Jacob (Natascha) Spahr, Carolynn (Jason) Craig, Allison Spahr, Luke Edwards, Cooper Schroeder, Sage Gardner, and Sterling

Carol devoted a significant portion of her youth to assisting in the rearing of her younger siblings. She started taking college classes when she was 50 years old and eventually earned her high school equivalency diploma (GED). She had a thirst for knowledge and was a voracious reader. Carol has committed her entire life to assisting those in need. She was a contributor to the Catholic church’s Society of St. Vincent de Paul as well as the local food bank. Her children referred to her as the most incredible Prayer Warrior, and there is no question that everyone who knew her benefited from her dedication to prayer and her trust in the answers that it brought.
