Tuscaloosa Car Accident, Death – On Thursday, a small child was involved in a tragic accident that took place in the village of Bessemer, and the youngster passed away as a result of their injuries. According to the information provided by the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office, the collision that took place at approximately 8:15 in the morning close to the intersection of 9th Street and 6th Avenue was the event that finally resulted in the young person’s passing away.
It is the intersection of 9th Street and 6th Avenue that is in doubt here. The term “the junction” is used to refer to the crossroads that was the scene of the collision. Later on, at the UAB Medical West facility, it was determined that Jamarious Roper, age 5, who was originally from Birmingham, Alabama, had passed away.
During his evidence, Deputy Coroner Phillip Russell stated that Roper had been a passenger in a 2014 Nissan Altima at the time of her demise, and that she had been seated in the rear driver’s side seat. Russell also stated that Roper had been wearing a seat belt. The car driven by Roper was traveling in the opposite direction on 9th Street when it was struck on the driver’s side by a different vehicle that was traveling in the opposite direction on 6th Avenue. The findings of the inquiry that was carried out by the police can be summarized as follows.
At this point, the Bessemer-based law enforcement personnel are in charge of supervising the investigation while it continues. The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office claims that Jamarious Roper, who was just 5 years old at the time, was seated in the backseat driver’s side passenger seat when the automobile he was riding in was hit by another vehicle on 9th Street at 6th Avenue.
The crash occurred near the intersection of 9th Street and 6th Avenue. Roper was taken to the UAB Medical West Hospital to receive treatment for his injuries; unfortunately, he did not survive his injuries and passed away at the hospital.
The findings of the investigation conducted by the office of the coroner indicate that the incident occurred at approximately 8:15 in the morning. An investigation into the sequence of events that led up to the incident is being carried out right now by the Bessemer Police Department.
