Frankie Smith Obituary, Death – Mrs. Frankie Greenway Smith passed away on July 14, 2021 at the Novant Health facility in Winston-Salem. Mrs. Greenway Smith had spent her entire life in Zionville. She has 73 years under her belt. Her parents, Frank Greenway and Louise Martin Greenway, had both passed away prior to her birth on December 21st, 1947. She was the only child in the family. She was the child that they had. Frankie was an active participant in the life of the First Presbyterian Church in addition to her role as an educator for young children in a preschool setting.
Her entire life revolved entirely around her children, grandchildren, and especially the youngest of the group of children and grandchildren. She treasured every moment that she was allowed to spend with them and made the most of any opportunity she had to do so. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Bob Smith, one daughter and her husband from Sugar Grove named Karen Haury and Myk Haury, three grandchildren named Cameron Haury, Jake Haury, and Melia Haury, and three brothers from Rutherfordton named Bud Greenway, Doug Greenway and wife Leisa, and Randy Greenway and wife Lecia.
Her husband Bob Smith passed away 50 years ago. It has been fifty years since the death of her husband, Bob Smith.
Her son Stephen Smith, who resided in Deane, Kentucky, as well as her sisters Sara Lovelace and Sandy Hill, as well as her brother Rusty Greenway, all passed away before she did. In addition, she was predeceased by her husband. A terrible vehicle accident took her life as well as the lives of both of her parents, taking her away from this world.
Memorial services for Frankie Smith will be held at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church on the seventh of August, 2021, at three o’clock in the afternoon. This is in accordance with the desires expressed by Frankie Smith’s family.
