Mark Sheehan Obituary, Death – Sheehan was one of the co-founders of the band, along with drummer Glen Power and lead singer Danny O’Donoghue, when it was created in Dublin in the year 2001. The band has a total of six albums that have debuted at number one on the album charts in Ireland. Of those six albums, five have also debuted at number one in the album charts in the UK. After a very short bout with illness, the musician reportedly passed away in the medical facility, as said in a statement that was issued by the Irish rock band.

A brief illness led to Mark Sheehan’s passing today, the band stated in a tweet. “Much loved husband, father, brother, band mate and friend Mark Sheehan passed away today in hospital,” the post read. As a result of the recent tragedy, the family as well as the band have requested that their followers respect their need for privacy. Sheehan, who played guitar in the band, invited his childhood friend Danny O’Donoghue to be the lead singer. Glen Power, who played drums, was the final member of the lineup.

Sheehan was the guitarist. In the year 2001, Dublin served as the location for the launch of The Script. Sheehan and O’Donoghue, who had been friends since they were both 13 years old, had initially traveled to Los Angeles in order to seek employment in the music industry. They had been friends ever since they were both 13. The two artists had spent their time in the United States working in the disciplines of songwriting and production before to returning to Ireland and founding the band with Power.
