Fred Crosby Obituary,  Death – Fred James Crosby II, originally from Saginaw, Michigan. On Thursday, April 13, 2023, a dearly loved husband, father, grandpa, son, brother, uncle, cousin, and good friend passed away peacefully at his home with his family by his side. Fred James Crosby II was brought into the world on November 8, 1965 in Saginaw, Michigan. His parents were Fred James Crosby and Joyce Marie (Schultz) Crosby.

He graduated with honors in 1984 from Hemlock High School, where he participated in both football and wrestling while he was there. Soon after completing his high school studies, Fred enrolled in the automotive department at Ferris State University. On April 29, 1989, Fred and Renee were joined in marriage; she is the one who has survived him.

He started working at Hemlock Semiconductor on January 2, 1986, and he remained there until the day he retired on January 15, 2019, exactly 34 years later. Being a caring and loyal husband, father, and grandfather was the position he felt most called to play throughout his entire life, and it was the one he loved more than anything else in this world. Fred had been a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church & School for a very long time and served on the school board there at one point.

He currently attends Hopevale Church. Fred served his community throughout his entire life by volunteering as a little league coach for his sons, serving as vice president and umpire in chief for the North SaginawTownship Little League (NSTLL), and eventually working his way up to the position of Past President for the organization. Fred was a passionate outdoorsman who enjoyed activities such as hunting, fishing, and snowmobiling. He also enjoyed sharing his passion for the great outdoors with his boys.

Being a family-oriented person at heart, his idea of heaven consisted of spending quality time with his loved ones at the lakeside cottage on Higgins Lake, either by going boating or just lounging around. Fred will be remembered for all time for his work ethic, for the fact that he was an incredible spouse and the best father and grandfather in the entire universe, for his fun-loving and adventurous personality, and for the fact that he actually lived a wonderful life that was filled with many lovely memories and stories.

Renee Marie Crosby, his wife of 33 years, of Saginaw; their two sons, Brandon Joseph (Emily) Crosby of Shields and Justin Lee (Morgan) Crosby of Thomas Township; their two grandchildren, Jackson and Graham Crosby; their parents, Fred and Joyce Crosby, of Hemlock; their brother, Troy Lee (Kathy) Crosby of Merrill; their sister, Cindy (Matt) Schonfeld of Thomas Township; their brother A large number of the deceased’s nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends have also survived.
