Colleen Chivers Obituary, Death-Colleen Chivers was not only a passionate supporter of the Russell Island Community Garden for a number of years, but she also served on the board of directors of the garden for the entirety of the time that she was there. Because we have no choice, we must break the sad news to you that she has passed away, which is something that we do with a heavy heart.
Following Colleen’s passing, we have already completed a portion of the activities that were originally planned for this week.As a result of the vast number of people that supported and cheered for her in this area, her departure will be keenly felt by each and every one of those individuals. In the years to come, she will be remembered by everyone with a great deal of affection.
She attended Binghamton Central High School for the completion of her secondary education, and then moved on to Centenary College for the completion of her undergraduate degree. She graduated from Binghamton Central High School where she earned her graduation.
She not only served at one point in time as a member of the board of directors of the Family and Children’s Society, but she also served at one point in time as the president of the organization. In addition to these roles, she served at one time. She was a member of Saint Thomas Aquinas Church in Binghamton, and she was a regular attendee of the services held there.
She was also a devoted follower of the church’s doctrine. St. Thomas Aquinas Church, which can be found in Binghamton at Highland Avenue, will be the location of the Funeral Mass, which will take place on Tuesday at noon.
At a later time, we will make an announcement regarding the location of the Mass. Due to the fact that it was already decided upon, the burial will take place at the Holy Name of Mary Cemetery in Montrose, Pennsylvania.
This has been chosen as the venue for the burial. On Monday, friends and family are invited to the J.A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home in Binghamton, which can be found at 141 Main Street. There, they can pay their condolences to the deceased. Additionally, the company goes by the name J.A. McCormack Sons. From 3-6 p.m. The family has asked that in lieu of sending flowers, donations be made to the Family & Children’s Society, which may be found in Binghamton, New York at 257 Main Street.
