Shooting in Evanston Illinois, Shooting at Clark Street Beach

Shooting in Evanston Illinois – While the authorities investigate a shooting that took place at Clark Street Beach, which is located just south of the Evanston campus, we ask that you remain sheltered in place. While this is going on, the beach may be found directly to the south of the Evanston campus. The Evanston Police Department has been called to the site of an incident that just occurred involving gunfire in the 1800 block of Sheridan. The event took place just a moment ago.

There is not the slightest relationship to be found between this happening and Northwestern University in any manner, shape, or form. The law enforcement personnel have finally arrived at the location where the incident occurred. There is no evidence to support the hypothesis that an active shooter is on the run at this time. In the not-too-distant future, additional information will be provided.

The University of Evanston has just emailed me the following paper, which reads as follows: “Urgent: Please remain sheltered in place while police search for suspects in a shooting that occurred at Clark Street Beach, which is located just south of the Evanston campus.” We would want to advise our family and friends who live in the Northwest to take cover and remain safe during this storm. In the very near future, I believe additional information will emerge that will shed some light on the situation.

Near this time, law enforcement personnel are responding to a complaint of shots fired near Clark Street Beach, which is located directly south of the Evanston campus. The location of this beach may be viewed on a map located here. Those who were under investigation fled in the general direction of the campus’s most northern section. It is recommended that you use the area you are at right now as a safe haven until you receive further guidance.
