Roger Steffen Obituary, Death – As a result of hearing that Roger Steffen passed away on April 11, our hearts are broken, and it breaks our hearts to have to share this news with you. Throughout the course of his professional life, Roger has worked for the City of Alexandria in a variety of capacities, including those of Mayor, Council Member, City Clerk, and Treasurer, as well as a worker at the Community Center. In each of these roles, Roger has provided service to the citizens of Alexandria.
Roger has served in a variety of capacities, one of which being that of Mayor. It was impossible to tell whether he was smiling because he had just delivered a joke, because he was delighted to see you, or, more likely, because he was getting ready to get into some trouble. He constantly had a smile on his face, but it was impossible to tell why he was smiling. He never failed to crack a smile. Roger was a member of a variety of clubs and organizations, some of which include the Hillcrest Social Club, the ASSEAOPA Club, the Bluegrass Saddle Club, and the NKY Saddle Club. In addition, he was a member of the NKY Saddle Club.
In addition to that, he was a member of the Disabled American Veterans, the American Legion Post #126, the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge #1469, the American Legion Post #3205, and the Campbell County VFW Post #3205. There are going to be a lot of people who lament the loss of Roger’s presence in their lives. I pray that God grants him peace that surpasses all comprehension.
