Mark Walker Obituary, Mark Walker Has Passed Away - Death Causehands holding one candle in darkness

Mark Walker Obituary, Death – He was leading a Bible study at the Arvada Covenant Church, which is also his home church, when he suffered a heart attack. Approximately three hours later, he passed away at Lutheran Hospital. Mark Walker, the cherished son of Jimmy and Mary Walker, was born on April 26, 1957 in the city of Mason in the state of Texas. Katie and Annie, together with Mark’s devoted wife Barbara, are the only members of Mark’s family to outlive him.

He is also survived by his mother, Mary Toll Walker, brothers Mike Walker and Lyle Walker, and sisters Lynn Luna, Cheryl Doty, and Lori Albright. In addition, he was preceded in death by his father, Mike Walker. Mark has been a devout Christian since he was in high school, and he received his Bachelor of Arts in History degree from Trinity University in San Antonio in 1979. After that, he attended Regent College in Vancouver, British Columbia, to pursue his studies in theology.

There, in 1993, he received a Master of Theological Studies degree in New Testament. In 1988, Mark and Barbara Randall decided to spend the rest of their lives together. Since then, they have dedicated their lives to raising their four children. Between the years 1995 and 2008, he was employed with Promise Keepers, during which time he had the privilege of forming a large number of connections that will last a lifetime. He worked as an administrator for the Anthem Health Care Insurance company up until the time of his passing. Mark was a voracious reader who also had a passion for the kitchen.

His salsa was so good that it became legendary; he was known for making flavorful soups from scratch; and the enchiladas he cooked with red chile were a source of great pride for him. Mark really enjoyed his research on the New Testament written in its original Greek, which he did as part of his dedication to God, which led him and Barbara to organize a Bible study in their house for a number of years. On the 15th of February, there will be a memorial ceremony held in his honor at Arvada Covenant Church, which is located at 5555 Ward Road. The service will begin at 2:00 pm. In lieu of sending flowers, we ask that you make a donation to the cause of your choice in Mark’s name.
