Braswell High School Shooting – As a precaution, the school went into lockdown for around ten minutes. The lockdown was only implemented for a short period of time. This morning, in the wee hours of the morning, three students were reported to have left the school grounds and participated in activity that was deemed to be unacceptable. A member of the public who had reason to believe that the students in question constituted a possible danger communicated this information to the administration of the school.
As soon as the police arrived, the students were swiftly arrested and brought into jail by the authorities. As a precaution, the school went into lockdown for around ten minutes. The lockdown was only implemented for a short period of time. We would like to express our appreciation to the members of our local law enforcement who have put in a lot of effort to protect the safety of both our staff and our students.

Our school district has adopted the proactive approach in the form of the launch of an app that enables all students to become responsible members of their communities and to report any concerns in a manner that is most convenient for them. This app was developed in order to meet the needs of all of our students.
