Bob Amis Obituary, Death – Robert L. “Bob” Amis, who was 77 years old and lived in Senoia, Georgia, passed away on April 12, 2023. Bob, or Bob to his friends, was born on April 28, 1945 in Miami, Florida, and he attended and graduated from Southwest High School. Bob was known to his friends as Bob. During his time as a student, he held a job at the Sunoco Station that was owned by the Passafiume family. There, he met the family’s daughter, Bernadette, whom he would later marry.
After successfully completing the apprenticeship program at Eastern Airlines, Bob was later sent to the company’s headquarters in Atlanta, Georgia. Both his coworkers and management thought highly of Bob’s abilities as a mechanic, and they ranked him among the company’s best. He represented his fellow employees while serving in the role of shop steward. After the failure of Eastern, he went on to work for World Airways and then co-founded a sign firm in Fayetteville, Georgia called Custom Foam Fabricators, Inc.
Michael, Bob’s son, passed away before Bob. Bob passed away first. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, his daughter Michele Kerlin, Michele’s husband David, his daughter Kristin Amis Babb, his grandson Steven and his granddaughter Katilyn, as well as by his sister Joan Williams, her husband Bill, and their children. He is also survived by his sister Joan Williams, her husband Bill, and their children. On Friday, April 14, 2023, the family will host a visitation at the Parrott Funeral Home & Crematory in Fairburn, Georgia, from 5 to 7 o’clock in the evening.
