Kevin Hansen Obituary, Death – I am telling you this with a heavy heart since it is about a close friend who passed away. Kevin Hansen has left us forever. He had quite the unique personality and will be sorely missed. Relax, Kevin; the storm has passed, and you can finally find solace.The funeral is going to take place on Tuesday, April 18 at the Butherus, Maser, and Love Funeral home.
After relocating from New Jersey to Florida and then back to Erie, where Kevin completed his secondary education at Cathedral Preparatory School, the family finally settled down. He attended the University of Notre Dame, where he majored in English Literature and received his degree in 1972 with highest honors. After that, Kevin attended the University of Pittsburgh School of Law and received his Juris Doctor degree.
He spent the entirety of his 35-year legal career working in Pittsburgh at the firm of Meyer, Unkovic & Scott LLP, where he eventually became a partner and chaired the bankruptcy and creditors’ rights section. Kevin, who has spent his entire life enjoying the outdoors, moved back to Northwestern Pennsylvania after he retired in order to fulfill his ambition of purchasing a peaceful parcel of land where he could watch animals, both large and little, roam his woods.
He is survived by his daughters, Sarah Hansen (Jason Soncini) of New York City, Liz Cleary (Matt) of Indianapolis, and Kate Newport (Chris) of Exeter, New Hampshire; his grandchildren, Sloane and William Soncini, Kevin and McCoy Cleary, and Jack Newport; his siblings, Thomas Hansen (Julie), Carl Hansen, Mary Buckoski (Pete), and John Hansen (Kathy); his sister-in-law, Natalie In the eyes of his children and family, as well as all those who knew him and admired, respected, and loved him, Kevin leaves behind a legacy that is abundant in love and compassion.
