Dale Morrison Obituary, Death – At the Brome Missisquoi Perkins Hospital in Cowansville, Quebec, on the 28th of December, she passed away in peace. Roderick Morrison and Ruth Barker gave birth to their son, Roderick. Father of Bruce and Greig (Mary Strange), he is survived by his adoring wife of 70 years, Heather (née Hooker). Cowansville, Quebec is where Dale began his life. He attended Cowansville High School and was an active participant in a variety of sports throughout his younger years.

After graduating from McGill University, Dale went on to earn his chartered accountant designation. After that, he became an employee at McDonald Currie & Co. (now known as Coopers & Lybrand). After that, he joined the Ford Motor Company in Winsor, Ontario, where he worked for a while. After that, he went to work for the Vilas Furniture Company in Cowansville, where he eventually became Chairman of the Board of the company.

In his latter years, he indulged his lifelong passion for automobiles by working as the principal dealer of a Lincoln Mercury franchise called B&M Mercury in Cowansville. He held this position until 1981. He served as a volunteer board member for a number of organizations, including Beaverhouse, Camp Garagona, and the Brome Missisquoi Perkins Hospital. The arrival of spring, when he could finally play golf with his usual group, was something he eagerly anticipated every year.

Private funeral for the family alone. Donations to The Brome-Missisquoi-Perkins Hospital Foundation (fondationbmp.ca) or the SPCA Monteregie (spcamontreal.com) would be graciously accepted in place of flowers. Both organizations can be found online. The Morrison family would like to extend their gratitude not only to the medical professionals at B.M.P. Hospital and the CLSC Home Care Service for the outstanding care they provided, but also to everyone who has shown Mr. Morrison and his family support.
