Benjamin Brackins Obituary, Death – Benjamin Keith Brackins, age 49, of Erwin, Tennessee, passed away on Tuesday, April 11, 2023 in his home surrounded by his devoted family. He had been ill for some time. Benjamin was a Flag Pond native and the son of the late Reverend Leland Zane Brackins and Phyllis Sue (Tipton) Brackins. Phyllis Sue (Tipton) Brackins predeceased her husband. He attended services at the Sweetwater Church of God regularly.
Benjamin enjoyed a wide variety of activities, including hunting, fishing, side by sides, and drag racing; but, he valued his time with his family the most. Jeffery Brackins and Ricky Brackins were two of Benjamin’s brothers who passed away before him. Benjamin was also predeceased by their father. Benjamin Keith Brackins has left behind to cherish his memory: mother, Phyllis Brackins; loving wife of 29 years,
Lori Ann (Tolley) Brackins; daughter, Whitney Young and husband, Martin; son, Jeremiah Brackins and wife, Sydney; brother, Eugene Brackins and wife, Wilma; Nephew, Jason Brackins; special friend, Michael Lloyd; and several nieces and nephews.
The family respectfully beg the honor of your presence as we offer homage and commemorate the life of Benjamin Keith Brackins in a funeral ceremony to be held on Friday, April 14, 2023 at 7:00 pm in the Chapel of Valley Funeral Home.
The ceremony will be presided over by the Reverend Craig Shelton. A visitation hour to share memories and offer support to the family will begin at 5:00 pm and continue until service time on Friday, April 14, 2023. In lieu of flowers, Benjamin’s family has asked for Gideon Bibles to be donated in his memory instead of floral arrangements.
